AETC Honours Ministry of Energy Ghana for Key Role in Successful Africa Energy Technology Conference

In a gesture of appreciation and recognition, the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) recently paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Energy Ghana on the 26th of March 2024 to present citations to the Minister and Deputy Ministers for their invaluable support during the Africa Energy Technology Conference that was held from the 12th to the 14th of March 2024 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.

The Africa Energy Technology Conference, organized by AETC in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy Ghana, emerged as a resounding success, drawing key stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the globe. With the theme “Africa at the Forefront of Energy Technology and Policy Integration in a Just Energy Transition,” the conference aimed to propel Africa into a leading position in the global energy discourse.

During the courtesy call, the delegation led by Ms. Emelia Akumah- Founder and President of the Africa Energy Technology Centre- expressed their profound gratitude to the Minister for Energy, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and the Deputy Ministers for their unwavering support and commitment to advancing the energy sector in Ghana and across the continent. Their endorsement and active participation played a pivotal role in the success of the conference, fostering fruitful discussions and facilitating meaningful collaborations.

The citations presented to the Minister and Deputy Ministers serve as a token of appreciation for their dedication to promoting sustainable energy solutions and fostering innovation within the industry. AETC highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between government institutions and industry stakeholders in driving positive change and achieving shared goals for a sustainable energy future.
