The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Ghana, is poised to host the Africa Energy Technology Conference from March 12th to 15th, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Ghana’s President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will be a crucial figurehead at the conference, marking his presence as a key speaker and driving force behind Ghana’s endeavours towards fostering a sustainable energy landscape for not only the nation but the entire continent of Africa. 

His visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and strategic initiatives have positioned him as a notable voice in shaping Ghana’s energy policies and leading the charge for broader African energy development.

President Akufo-Addo’s tenure as President of the Republic of Ghana has been marked by a resolute dedication to fostering sustainable energy practices. He possesses a keen understanding of the country’s developmental requirements and has always championed a strategic vision centred on utilizing energy as a catalyst for comprehensive growth and the preservation of the environment.

His roadmap entails positioning Ghana as a regional leader in clean and sustainable energy by leveraging its vast natural resources and fostering robust partnerships with global innovators in the energy technology space. 

Implementing comprehensive policies to incentivise green investments, fostering a culture of energy efficiency, and prioritising the development of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power projects are among some of the key strategies that have been delineated by the President.
