APPO, an intergovernmental organization created in 1987 in Lagos, Nigeria, with the primary objective of promoting cooperation among African petroleum-producing countries plays a crucial role in harmonizing petroleum policies, sharing technical expertise, and fostering collaboration for the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry in Africa.

The partnership, endorsed by both entities, signifies a collaborative effort to propel Africa to the forefront of energy technology and policy integration. APPO’s vast expertise and influence in the petroleum sector align seamlessly with AETC’s vision to create a distinctive platform for key stakeholders, policymakers, and industry players within the energy ecosystem.
